Unaware of war
redbuds are budding, bluebells blooming

Unaware of Covid
they smile their unmasked smiles

Not kept awake by fear all night
shining examples in the morning light

Covid Cactus

It was called a Christmas cactus
for blooming faithful on that day

Jumped queue to solstice this year
which could be attributed to fear

Better party when you can
before it all shuts down again

remind me of mother
Though the dead be not dead
am I the only way
she gets to see and smell them
